Maddie and George have been married for five years. Georgey’s dry humor balances with Maddie’s eccentric and buoyant personality. She admires her husband, but wishes he were less bookish and more fashionable. Maddie is completely dedicated to navigating Chicago social circles and claiming her place as a popular socialite.

“Where is the nearest lady’s fashion store? I need another dress. These delays have completely ruined my laundry cycle!”

Why are you on the Night Train?
Well I am hoping to get a ticket because it is such an important event! Historic! I begged George for a ticket. It was the only thing I wanted for Christmas. But he wouldn’t hear of it. He has work. He’s such a slave to the grindstone, my Georgie. He gave me a new dress instead. With fluffy petticoats. And lace!
What can we do to improve your Pullman experience?
Well, since you asked, I would be delighted to meet Mr. George Pullman himself. He is so dignified and poised. I want to bask in his presence.
